Radial integral boundary element method for simulating phase change problem with mushy zone

Abstract A radial integral boundary element method (BEM) is used to simulate the phase change problem with a mushy zone in this paper. Three phases, including solid phase, liquid and zone, are considered problem. First, according continuity conditions of temperature its gradient on liquid-mushy interface, simulation can be as whole part, namely, non-solid latent heat approximated by source which dependent temperature. Then, precise integration BEM obtain differential equations respectively. Moreover, an iterative predictor-corrector (PIM) needed solve field flux boundary. According energy balance equation velocity interface between front-tracking track move interface. The obtained interpolation field. Finally, four numerical examples provided assess performance proposed method.
